From My Family to Yours...

I am the owner of IEN, Allisyn Maley. My husband Kyle and I were married in August of 2015 and we had our first baby in the spring of 2016!

About 7 years ago I started my first job as a nanny, expecting it to be nothing more than a great experience while in college and a stepping stone to my dream professional career as a nurse. I had many plans and expectations for my career path, but the first big check mark I accomplished was adding CNA to my resume. While on the waiting list for the nursing program I completed many other seemingly random courses, then decided I might as well get my EMT certification during the waiting period. Through the experience of acquiring my EMT certification, I developed a desire to become more educated in the emergency medical field and enrolled in the University of Iowa paramedic program. By this time, I thought I understood myself fully and knew what direction I was meant to pursue, but as often happens, God had a better plan for my life. I was once told that by finding so much joy in caring for others, I had found my life’s calling. I thought this would be fulfilled through my medical career, but come to find out, it would all circle back to the beginning of my journey. The root of all my joy and passion is caring for those sweet little ones and helping families raise them in a way they desire them to be raised. This is what I was born to do and am elated that I have the opportunity to combine my joy and passion and extend them to you with the hope it will bless and enrich your life, as it has mine.

In the spring of 2014 I took the leap and created Iowa Elite Nannies, LLC. Some thought I was crazy, while others stepped up and became my greatest support team and cheerleaders. Kyle, my family, Dr. CJ Kleene and Scott Swenson from the Small Business Development Center all supported and encouraged me to develop this dream into a reality. At the time I was working as a medic, pulling ridiculously random shifts during all hours of the day and night. After a couple months of trying to juggle the outrageous work schedule nonsense while attempting to start a business, I sat down with CJ Kleene. She offered me a position to come alongside and aid in her business, Back in Line Family Chiropractic and Wellness. It was a win-win to me in every way; I was able to work normal hours, love what I was doing, and be a personal mentor and friend, all while running IEN. The ability to have a little stability while jumping into the unknown of starting a business was an invaluable opportunity for me that I will be forever grateful. After about a year, the amazing but unexpectedly sad day came when I had to leave Back in Line due to how well IEN was doing. It was such a struggle to decide to leave this lifeline and friend I had found, but knew in order to develop the agency into my dream, it was necessary to focus solely on my company.

We now currently have over 100 absolutely amazing families and nannies. It isn’t just an Allie thing anymore! This has developed into more than I could have dreamt in my wildest dreams and could truly not be more excited and hopeful.
